Järv - The Series
Real steel. Real use. Real wilderness.
Meet the Casström Järv Series—three iconic knives reborn for those who live, work, and thrive in the great outdoors. We’ve taken the proven designs of the Lars Fält Knife, The Woodsman, and No.10 SFK, and given them a rugged makeover: dark-stained Scandinavian birch handles, inspired by the deep forests of the North, paired with the legendary toughness of Uddeholm 15N20 carbon tool steel.
Now with a 3 mm blade thickness—requested by our customers for years—the Järv knives are lighter in hand and more nimble for fine tasks and food preparation, while still delivering the strength and reliability Casström is known for.
Named after the Swedish word for the wolverine, the Järv is built to reflect its namesake—tough, fearless, and perfectly adapted to life in the wild. The dark handle echoes the wolverine’s coat, while the 15N20 steel bites sharp and is as tough as its namesake!
Why 15N20?
Because performance matters more than hype. This high-toughness steel has long been trusted by bladesmiths for its razor-sharp edge, incredible resilience, and ability to withstand hard use—from carving and feathering to batoning and game processing. It’s not stainless, so it will age and patina with you, becoming a tool with real character.
