50/50 water protection wax

This all-natural wax for hot waxing, a mixture of approximately 50% beeswax and 50% neatsfoot oil, will protect your leather knife sheath (and other leather products) from rain and moist. Simple instructions for the hot waxing technique can be found in the video below.

While our other wax product, the Lapland Leather Wax, is easy to apply in the field, the 50-50 Water Protection Wax applied by hotwaxing gives a deeper and more long-lasting water repellent protection but requires more hand work, equipment and temperatures need to be controlled to achieve a good result.  The important rigidity of the leather sheath will not be weakened with this wax, as is the case with most leather products on the market. Just be careful not to overheat the wax (around 100 degrees C) as this will damage the leather.
