Dense pieces of reindeer antler L-shapes for antler-knife sheaths. Can also be used for handles or other crafts. Size will vary however these pieces are approx. 13-20cm long.
The Traditional Sami antler knives have a sheath made partly or fully from Reindeer antler. The Northern Sami style of sheath is L-shaped, a style that was originally used to making un-sheathing a knife with one hand easier, such as when holding a reindeer down to mark it or to be culled. Typically a dense piece of antler taken from the part of the reindeer antler closest to the animals head is used for this type of sheath.
